Cell phones are already pretty advanced, but the engineers are constantly looking for ways to upgrade the current product to keep up with the human desire of “bigger and better”.  It is because of these human desires that we now have the most incredible innovations in cell phone technology.  The latest improvements with cell phone technology are focused on video technology.

Just five years ago it was nearly impossible to access full movies or television shows with a cell phone.  You needed to go to http://www.direct.tv to subscribe for packages exclusively for television only. But now, it’s a different case. We might have been able to access videos that we shot with the same phone, but not a video you can normally pull up using a PC.Many phones, including the cricket blackberry phones are being purchased for the video and streaming capabilities that are now available.

While the video aspects in cell phones are not the only feature that is being improved, it is certainly the most enjoyed feature that is being improved.  You can download movies and television shows directly to your phone with a touch, click or other means nearly as fast as making a phone call.

It is difficult to stay on top of the latest and greatest cell phones, which is why it is important to make sure that you purchase the latest model and decide if a contract company or prepaid company is the best way to go financially.  If you are the type who must own the best and newest model phone, it would be better suited financially to utilize prepaid cellular plans.

Technology Creates Green and Cheap Energy

With energy prices soaring, more companies are searching for cheaper ways to cool, heat, and light their buildings. Two energy sources have picked up during this search. Solar energy is being used for smaller energy needs, while wind energy is taking over the United States as a new main energy source.

 

Many traffic signals are already using solar energy to power up. You can recognize these signals by the small solar panel that is right above them. Large-scale solar energy is simply not available at this time, however. Plenty of research is trying to discover a way to run an entire building off of pure solar energy. In the mean time, small-scale solar energy needs, like traffic signals, can be used. Toyota has even utilized solar energy technology in its new Prius to run the car’s air-conditioning.

 

Wind energy can clearly be seen advancing by the many windmills, or turbines, that dot the horizon in the plains. Rural areas of Illinois and Nebraska are one of these sections of the country where turbines are plentiful. They are an easy decision for many landowners, usually farmers, who can farm the land underneath the turbines while renting out or selling the land needed for the turbines. States not in the Midwest are looking into wind energy as well, as Massachusetts demonstrates by advocating for off-shore turbines.

 

As solar energy is still being developed, it still has great potential for green and efficient energy use. Even by its use for smaller projects, like a car’s air-conditioning, it can greatly help decrease the cost of energy in the United States. Wind energy has already proven itself, with one turbine able to produce energy for over 200 households.
